Woohoo! I have 30 minutes to finish all available opps for this blog before we leave to surprise my mom today. It's her birthday tomorrow and the celebration will be held today in Batangas. We'll surprise her since she doesn't expect us to be there since the little princess just got back from the hospital. No worries, the little princess' actually doing great. There's nothing serious that happened to her. We thought it was something but it was not. *sigh of relief* She just got what I had last last week. Next time I get sick, I'll have to transfer her until I am well so this will not happen again.

Technocology = help
When a cousin learned she has breast cancer, together with her sister, they tried to trace back where she got the cancer cell gene. As far as we know then, no body got sick of cancer. Then my grandmother got sick. It was too late, cancer has spread. She was given 3 months to live. Treatment was not advisable since she was already 87 then. It would only be very much difficult for her at her age... according to the doctor.
Good thing there are already lots of help available over the internet. I for one joined a group of local TTCs (Trying to conceive) when we were still trying to conceive. I bet, there are others to like help for mesothelioma, for diabetes, for seizures and others.
It would be very difficult to get facts/opinions if not for technology.

I miss our backyard
16 years ago, this place was half the size of what is it now. We only had a bungalow type house with a big backyard where kids could play. I've held almost all my birthday parties here at home since we can fit all the guests then. But my parents decided to have a bigger house hence, no more backyard for us.
If and when the owner of the house next door decides to sell their property, I will try to negotiate and buy the place just for the sake of having a playground and perhaps a swimming pool. By then, I'd probably be looking at pool supplies and kids playground toys.
Daydreaming...

Identiy Theft
I love watching CSI (LV, Miami, NY). In one of the episode for CSI: Miami, they tackled about identity theft. It is actually happening in reality even here in the Philippines but I don't think it is as bad as it can in the US. The worst case I have heard happening here in the Philippines was Passport theft and SSS contributions. That's one of the reasons why they upgraded our passport to machine readable one to limit falsification of documents. Same thing for SSS, they require the use of the new ID (with picture) in applying for loan. Scary if it happens to me. What can you share about identity theft protection?

Wedding Essential
Hubby wanted to wear a tuxedo or a suit on our wedding. But it was way to impractical even if our venue are fully air conditioned. He wanted to have a feel on wearing such. Got his chance when we got invited on our friend's wedding in Los Angeles. Good thing we got it on sale since he haven’t had another chance to wear them.

A Greener Pasture
Many people are still dreaming of getting away from the country for more income and stability specially for their family. That is why IT job search over the internet in another country is so helpful specially for job seekers around the globe. If not for the recession, I bet many, including us, are out of the country for this. Hopefully, even away from home, they would still remember where they came from.

BIg Fix
We just recently had some water pipes fixed, bathroom and other pipe switches fixed since this house was built 16 years ago. It was a good thing that no other parts needs to be replaced though I wanted the tub to be removed and replaced again for the nth time. If ever I decide to do that, i might try Moen faucets for a change. Hopefully not in the near future though.

Fat Control
What is the best way to control fats? The fastest way: diet pills, liposuction, etc. or proper diet and exercise? Of course I know the answer. But tempted as I am, I really want to try those commercially available diet pills. Tried reading nuphedra review and other reviews for specific pills I have seen in the billboards.
Even though the mind is willing, the will to actually doing it is weak. Can't really see myself doing it the fastest way neither the healthier way. That's why I'd probably stay this way or even bigger. sigh!

I was in disbelief when I got an approved opp bid that's worth a small amount with minimum of 400 words! It was not really worth it but I don't like wasting moolah and making an impression of not working on job orders which I actually bid on. Lesson learned here, check number of words first before bidding. *teehee*
Ok, off to more opps. See you around!

GPS Insight vehicle tracking system is a new system in the market. Their target market is mostly trucking and service companies. Their system can help companies track their fuel consumption, routes taken and help them with fuel savings, routing efficiencies and the likes. They have GPS Insight support wiki for customers and blog for GPS vehicle tracking for more information about their products and services.
I love GPS! They have been around for awhile and have been commercialized with the use of GPS in vehicles. Those things are so cool given that you can go anywhere and the GPS will tell you where to go, what street you’re on, which exit to take when you’ve missed the last one, etc. You could even set it up so that it talks to you and gives you directions so you won’t have to look at the screen. You can even choose the voice you want it to use when it gives you directions. I always go for the female voice. That might be the first time you’d want a girl giving you directions!
I used this a lot when I was visiting relatives in Los Angeles. We flew in from Michigan and rented a car. Given that it was my first time in LA, I opted for the GPS system in the car that we rented. It was so useful and I never had that gut wrenching feeling you get when you don’t know the area. We were able to go to Disneyland, attend a friend’s wedding, drove through Rodeo drive and all without the nuisance of bringing a paper map with us. It just makes things easier and you can enjoy driving more since the GPS will never get you lost.
As I've said, we have tried using GPS when were in the States but compared to this one, it only gives directions and alternate routes but not how much fuel we have consumed. I doubt it if GPS here in the Philippines will be one hot gadget like computers and or mobile phones. There’s actually one mobile phone who offers this services but I have not really see how accurate it gets. There are a lot of side streets available here in the Philippines. Plus the fact that one ways and or road laws are often changed. GPS, I believe, will only succeed here in the Philippines if laws will be finalized and side streets be named and of course, a high technology gadget equates to lots of funds.

I have been sick for a week now. It started with a sore throat, then had fever for about two days. After the sore throat and the fever came the colds. I still have colds and on the first night I had it, I was able to consume 1 roll of tissue in a span of one hour! I just really hope this colds will end by today since we have a debut to attend to tomorrow. And speaking of that party, I still don't have a gift for the debutant... I'm included in her 18 gifts! Yikes! What's a nice gift to give a debutant nursing student? HELP!

Watson SM Southmall
Specifically the one in front of the Supermarket, Watson beside Jollibee. One of your personnel needs improvement with their people skills.
I didn't actually get the name of the person since my mom doesn't want to make an issue on what had happened. Whoever that personnel was who's serving people around 5PM today, April 14, 2008; pwede ba, umayos-ayos ka! I'm not being matapobre or b!tchy but I also have experienced serving other people. Clients are clients and no matter how bad their attitude was, I always try to explain things in a nice way and sometimes with a fake smile kahit deep inside e napipika na ko. :D Or even if it's one of those days, what ever your problem is, your work should not get affected. At kung ayaw mo ang ginagawa mo, mag resign ka!
This is what happened. My mom went to Watson to buy her vitamins. Since she is already a senior citizen, she fell in line in the dedicated lane for senior citizens. This pharmacist, upon seeing my mom, told her to fall in line on the other lane. This happens a lot to my mom, she's mostly mistaken for a non senior citizen, syempre flatter naman ang lola nyo! :D Anyway, ok lang sana kaso ganito ang pagkakasabi: "Dun kayo pumila sa kabila" *taray tone* If I were that pharmacist, I would tell the client that this lane are dedicated to senior citizens only. That should be a cue for the clients to prove they are indeed a senior citizen. The antipatika in me told my mom na sana sinaksak nya sa baga nung pharmacist yung card nya. hehehe!
I don't get mad easily, marunong akong lumugar. I just really hate bad services! Nakaka-irita!

This just got me thinking. How many of your friends are guys and how many are girls? Wala lang. Can I possibly use this to somehow prove my sweet-flirt theory? *grins*
*Disclaimer: Bato-bato sa langit, ang tamaan... flirt?! *LOL*

dNeero Survey #2: TV Shows Are Back
I have been following Grey's Anatomy and Private Practice online ever since we got back from the States. But because of the strike, I got bitin with the episodes. Good thing though is that I haven't seen the new season of CSI which is what I am following now.

LifeLock Promo Codes for the code hunters
For those who are always on the look out for coupon codes, there are lifelock promo codes found at lifelock.com. What is lifelock exactly? They are a company that provides an identity theft prevention program. What is identity theft? According to wiki: Although there is no such thing as "identity theft" (it is inherently not possible to steal an identity), this term is used by the mainstream media to refer to fraud, and financial fraud (especially credit card fraud) in particular. Financially speaking, perhaps an example of this was the hearsay going around our country that our SSS loan privileges are usually being used by other person posing as different person. I think this was before the ID card (with picture) was implemented since you cannot avail of any loan or benefits without the new card. Another instance that I know of is forging IDs by posing as somebody else (replacing the picture in the ID). So you see, the value of life lock is very important to this kind of crimes. It will give your identity the security you needed to protect not only yourself but also your assets. Did you ever get the chance to watch The Net where Sandra Bullock was the main character? I guess, that’s one example of identity theft. There’s always a cheaper way to protect yourself from crimes like this, do not disclose important information such as TIN, bday and or SSS/SSN to any other person, this will really give you trouble. Take good care of your selves. Ciao!

TG For Live TV
And since I am away from home most of the time (about twelve hours including travel time and traffic), having live tv to watch live show videos like of my baby would some how lessen the waiting time to be able to see her. It is actually like watching someone from a webcam but with sounds. The problems I see with the use of this one are: the live broadcast is for everyone to see and, no body from home actually knows how to use the computer. *grins*
