Bad Service Part 2

I hate masungit tinderas!

I was at the stall of Muhlach Ensaymada at ATC awhile ago and was asking the lady in charge how much each ensaymada costs. She speaks so soft that I had to ask twice or even thrice before I get a clear answer. At sya pa ang may ganang magsungit! I just wished she just pointed the price list which was posted beside me! I didn't see it because I was paying attention to the ensaymadas and listening attentively to what she was saying.

I ended up buying the mini ensaymadas for the little princess. I wouldn't buy from her if it weren't the little princess' favorite. I could have thrown a barcode scanner in her face so she could just let other customers use it to check for prices instead of her answering questions from them. kenes!

Philam Part 2

Was at Philam awhile ago to get our checks from our previous transaction. I asked for the detailed computation of our policy and it turns out that they used a different NAVPU for computation.

There was less than a thousand difference if they made use of Friday's NAVPU but base from their real computation, there was a PHP200 discrepancy or around PHP190 net.

Base from my understanding, since we closed or made the transaction Monday morning of February 16, I was expecting that they'd use Friday's NAVPU which was the current at that time. But according to a certain Mr. Espinosa, Philam's computation uses the following day's NAVPU, ang gulo and parang unfair sa client. Diba kaya mo nga ia-out that day because you are targeting a certain price then you'll just get surprised that it was not what you were expecting since the system uses price value of the following day, ang labo! Ayaw ko ng makipag argue, nakakapagod! That's 2 consecutive transactions already.

And since we still have insurance with Philam, we'll just finish this one and will definitely think twice thrice or even a million times before getting another term insurance or any other insurance with them. Already took out 3 investments for two reasons: bad service and low value returns. San ka pa!

Rehab for CTS

Just had my second session of PT for my CTS and it was boring! I can't do anything while I have my hands covered with paraffin wax. i just stare the four corners of the hospital or some other patients when they are not looking.

I have 4 more boring sessions to go. Hopefully I get better after this.

The ring that binds

The husband lost his wedding ring in 2006. I was not exactly there but he called me to tell me that his ring was missing. He has no clue when it went missing, either it went missing the day they bought the little princess’ travel system or when he prepared pasta for his sister and aunt. It was supposedly my first project when I got a new job last year. We have not replaced hubby’s wedding ring up until now and I really doubt that we would be able to now that we have other payables to think of. There are times that I don’t mind about this but there are times that I really want him to wear a wedding ring. I feel that the bond between us is missing without it. But I bet he does not see it that way. It would just be a piece of ring for him and nothing more. Sigh!

I have asked our jeweller if they could copy my ring and make another one for hubby. The cost is much higher than the rings we bought. 125% much higher. Maybe we could go back where we bought it and just find a new pair for us. We’ll just have a priest bless the rings so at least it’s still blessed as a pair. What do you guys think?

I hate bad services

Me and my mom were at Philam last Monday to terminate our investments. These investments are base on NAVPU. Their system was not working that day so we were told to follow it up after 3 to 5 days. I got worried so I asked for assurance that they are going to use Friday's NAVPU since we closed it Monday morning. So this lady told us that she's not sure and we have to follow it up after a few days (with irritated voice). Syempre nag init ang ulo ko with this! This is our money we're talking and she has to assure us that they are going to use Friday's NAVPU. Buti sana kung pataas diba, e pano kung pababa yun! I really argued with her and I am not leaving until she assures me that they are going to use Friday's NAVPU, ano ko hilo!

To make the long story short, we were assured that their system date can be changed and that they can base the computation from Friday's NAVPU. Hopefully she'd be calm when I call for follow-up. Mahaba ang pasensya ko pero if the one's giving service is disrespectful, aba, e d ko sya uurungan no!

On a rehab

So the final verdict was I have CTS or Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. Causes could be too much texting, wrong working habit and fats! Fats could build up and nerves could not work properly because of this. So now I have to go on rehab for both of my hands which will start this Saturday. I need to go not only on a diet but I also need to exercise! If only weight loss pills could do the miracle. Wish me luck, hopefully I get better with my rehab.

Howie Mandel is so funny promoting sale on Buy.com. The video’s finale was so funny.

We have tried buying online from Buy.com and so far we have not had any bad experience with them. So I do not think I really need convincing from Howie Mandel but the video was so hilarious to watch.

For now, I am still waiting for the right sale before I would buy again.

Hardship Letter

Times are tough and good thing we are still coping. We do not have mortgages or major loans except for our car which is automatically deducted from hubby's salary. That I think is a good thing, one less worry for us. At least this way we would not need to hardship letter just to explain why we can't cope. That's one way of degrading more of yourself.

I was born with unruly hair but never turned to salon for rebonding. But there are times I wish my hair is straight and easy to manage specially when I have to attend special occasions. That was why I had trimmed my hair to a very short length, shorter than hubby's. It was easy to manage, dries easily and no need to blow dry, no need to think how to wear my hair but then again, there are times that my short hair does not go along with my attire.

I now sport a shoulder length layered hair and I am planning to try the hair spa treatment provided by my favourite salon in Alabang. I have no idea how it will turn out but hopefully it will somehow tame my hair. If only the salon software can show me how I will look like after having the treatment or at least experiment on different type of hair style.

I would like to try sporting a long hair again like what I used to have when I was still a kid. If I get successful with the hair spa treatment, then I could probably maintain a longer hair than I usually do.

Advance Happy V-Day

A week more to go before the V day and I bet it is going to be one he!! of a traffic next week. It's payday weekend! Well, we never celebrated Valentines on the exact date. Just like now, we are having dinner and I bet this is our pre-valentine dinner, like usual. :D

easy to forgive and trying to forget

I have been liking those custom t-Shirts being sold at SM now a days. Well, it is not really customized per se but more of shirts with beautiful phrases or quotes. Just late last year, I bought my little princess a white shirt that says: Baby Diva.

Even I fell for this custom shirts. I have a shirt that says “too pretty to work”, “little miss everything” and “angel” which none of them are true! Hahaha! I even saw a “I work for shoes” shirt but did not buy it anymore. The quality of the shirt is not as good as the others. That one is not true also. I wish! My hard earn money is already saved up for something very important.

What other saying could you possibly think of that can pass for a shirt’s design?

By the way, those illustrations are from a shirt by David and Goliath. It is actually four different designs which actually has a representation which I would not dare mention here :D It was something I found from the net almost two years ago. I am now in that place where I could positively say “easy to forgive and trying to forget”. That could be a nice quote for a shirt. What do you think?

Rise and fall of the world

Many people were affected by the Madoff Investment Fraud which was in the news late last year. Amongst the big names who got affected are: Kevin Bacon and her wife Kyra Sedgwick. It was not disclosed by their publicist how much the couple lost but according to some reports, it was a million dollar figure.

Other personality who were affected by the financial fraud are: Dreamworks Animation CEO Jeffrey Katzenberg, Director Steven Speilberg for a charity run, Larry King, New Jersey Sen. Frank Lautenberg for his family’s charitable foundation, best-selling author Alexandra Penney and many thousand others more.

Not only personalities were affected by the scheme. Institutions in Europe and Japan like Britain's Royal Bank of Scotland Group PLC and Man Group PLC, Spain's Grupo Santander SA, France's BNP Paribas and Japan's Nomura Holdings were all reported to have fallen under the scheme.

Many things happened last year and this is one of the biggest blow and could have contributed to the worldwide economic downfall. We all got affected and this man is still have not gone into trial for the wrong doings and masterminding this financial fraud to thousands of people. Hopefully, people all over the world will get their justice soon.

Collections

Are you one of those smoker who has Humidors already? Well, I bet you smoke more than you should if you actually have one. Not unless you use your humidors as cigar compartment for collection purposes only. Is that even possible? I mean, I have not actually heard anyone of doing this. I doubt cigar lovers will ever just collect.

I was a smoker and I never imagined myself of being a collector of sorts. I even stopped even before I get super addicted with cigars. Oh wait, i didn’t mean cigars cigars. The big one. The one they usually give to new fathers. I have not even tried one of those yet and I do not think I can even get pass to one puff. I bet I would faint the exact time I puff. *cough* *cough* *faint*

I have seen cigars. We have used one for props. If I remember it right though, my classmate tried it after the play. I just can’t remember how he reacted from it, whether good or bad. He is still alive and I bet he is still a smoker.

I have smoker friends and it is very difficult for them to stop. Maybe someday I can give them one cigar each to try.

Love life

With the recent turn of uneventful things in hubby’s family, my father-in-law having a high blood due to kidney failure due to adrenal gland failure and my mother-in-law having suspected to have pneumonia, we have decided to take extra precaution ourselves.

One: from regular cooking oil to canola oil, we are now using olive oil. Since hubby’s family has a history of hypertension, we have decided to at least use a healthier option for cooking oil. Further research shows that Fish oil omega 3 fatty acids can help reduce the risk of coronary heart disease.

Two: since I suspect that I have a higher chance of being diabetic in the long run, I try to reduce my carbo intake. I think I only eat about ¼ cup or less of rice every meal, breakfast, lunch and dinner. There are times that I just eat oatmeal for breakfast. Same with the husband. Good for the heart you know.

Third: the husband scheduled his Annual Physical Exam this Saturday. It will be his 3rd rescheduled APE. Hopefully, third’s time a charm.

Last but not the least, even if Pneumonia is not as contagious at it seems, we are still going to have ourselves tested! Tomorrow!

Hopefully, we get to live 60 more years for our great effort.

Fickle minded

Now that hubby is decided that he is not going to buy an HDTV, we no longer need new tv stands for the new tv and the old tv. well, that is the plan. For now! I bet by May hubby's mind will change again. Yes, that is how his mind works. He has a very fickle mind. If women are known to be fickle minded then my hubby is much worse. Proven since wedding planning. hehe.

Jet setter

We have plans of traveling yet again this coming June. Good thing we would not be needing to stay on hotels, not that I do not want to be get ourselves hotel rooms but at least this way, we would not need to spend more on hotels. That will give us more budget for shopping! Yipee! Can't wait! That is if we get lucky and get a Visa. God luck to us!

needs vs wants

I am not the type who are easily carried away in promotional products. But there are times when items have freebies, I try to compute it first if it is really worth it. Tims are rough and we must be conscious with everything we buy. I say needs first before those wants. It is kind of difficult specially if you are use to buying everything under the sun but we have to be very vigilant with the world's current situation.
